History

Palo Alto’s history of innovation. It all started in this garage in 1937 at 367 Addison Avenue where Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard. Founded Hewlett-Packard (HP). The first HP product, an audio oscillator, the HP200A was conceived here.  The garage is considered to be the “Birthplace of Silicon Valley

Since that day in 1937 many other have followed.  The city includes portions of Stanford University, is headquarters to a number of Silicon Valley high-technology companies, including Hewlett-Packard, VMware, Tesla Motors, Ning, IDEO, Palantir Technologies and Facebook, and has had served incubator to other high-technology companies, such as Google, Logitech, Intuit, Sun Microsystems, and PayPal.

Palo Alto and its surrounding areas are home to some of the greatest minds in the world, founders like Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak of Apple Computer,  Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google.
